Jessica Nichole Oates
I am a Georgia native, and attended Collins Hill and Rabun County High Schools. After graduating High School, I attended Piedmont College and earned a Bachelor’s degree in History. I started my career in law as a Personal Injury Paralegal. I worked myself up to the position of a Supervising Senior Paralegal where I remained for six years. Always wanting to do more, I decided to become a lawyer, and was accepted into law school. During my first year of law school, I worked at the Rabun County District Attorney’s Office and during my second and third year, I worked with The Ryczek Firm, one of the best traffic ticket lawyers in Gwinnett County and in Georgia. I was also a Pro Bono Student Ambassador for my school, and I received a 2016 Pro Bono Student Ambassador Award for my significant contributions of promoting our Pro Bono program within the student body and the legal community. I graduated in the Top Twenty Percent of my class, earning a Cum Laude distinction. I also graduated with Pro Bono Honors for giving more than 100 Pro Bono hours to those in legal need. Outside of work, I enjoy being with my wonderful husband, our three beautiful daughters, spending time with our families, and being active in our church community. My family and I also like to hike the mountain trails, kayak the beautiful rivers, spend time with our dog, and watch college football. We are also avid Braves and Falcons fans!!
