Legal Answers
Q. Insurance company refuses to pay
A: You should be eligible to file an uninsured motorist claim through your company. They'll cover your damages minus your deductible, and then they'll do the legwork on investigating recovery beyond that point.

If they find the person responsible, and recover their money, they should refund your deductible.
Q. What are possible conseq's of failure to return to scene of accident with damages to attended vehicle? Attorney needed?
A: There are a number of criminal/serious traffic violations that could be in play here. If charged with one of these, then you may want to hire a lawyer to defend you on that front, as they can advise you on many options at that point, challenge any potential issues with the evidence against you, and cross examine any witnesses if the case were to result in a trial.
Q. What license does MERS Inc. hold to operate in the State of Maryland?
A: Not sure this is an auto accident question. Also not knowing what type of business MERS Inc is, I would be unable to really tell what license they needed, and then if they in fact had the required licensing.
