John is an experienced health care, business and regulatory compliance attorney. He represents a variety of business and individual clients. Much of John's experience is representing health care providers in business and regulatory issues. However, John also represents other types of businesses in corporate, contract, transaction and compliance issues.
For over 20 years, John has counseled health care clients, including accountable care organizations, ambulatory surgery centers, long term care providers, home health and hospice providers, hospitals, physicians, and health systems on health care regulatory compliance, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, recruitment and compensation issues, integrated network development, and Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement. John is knowledgeable on the laws and regulations that affect financial relationships between health care providers including the Stark Law, Anti-kickback Statute and safe harbor regulations, fraud and abuse, antitrust and exempt organization tax issues.
John holds Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) with the Health Care Compliance Association and is a Certified Compliance Ethics Professional (CCEP) with the Society for Corporate Compliance and Ethics joining only a handful of other practicing attorneys in the country to hold dual compliance certifications. In addition to providing legal services, John frequently consults with clients in a variety of industries regarding creation and operation of corporate compliance programs.
John has been a frequent author and speaker on health law regulatory issues. I generally do not charge for initial consultation about ongoing legal matters that are within the scope of my legal practice and represent the type of work that I would normally accept. I cannot provide consultation in areas in which I do not normally practice. - Credit Cards Accepted

Rates, Retainers and Additional Information
I generally charge clients at an hourly rate based on the actual time spent. I will occasionally charge a fixed fee upon request and assuming I feel able to accurately quantify the level of work involved in a legal matter. I do not offer a fixed fee arrangement for litigation or legal disputes.
