Johnathan Clay Gay
Attorney with an experience of helping those in active addiction
Johnathan has been licensed in KY state courts, the federal court in the Eastern District of KY, and the United States 6th Circuit Court of Appeals since 2002. He began his legal career as a law clerk, then an Associate Attorney with the Law Firm of Warren N. Scoville & Associates.
Johnathan has a 19 year career working with those in active addiction. He has made criminal law his primary focus over the years and has represented clients in dozens of counties and KY court rooms. He also does Casey’s Law assistance, nonprofit law, corporate law, family law, and has particular expertise representing those in active addiction.
Today, Johnathan serves as Deputy Legal Counsel for Addiction Recovery Care, one of the nation’s largest private sector drug rehabilitation companies. He continues to represent dozens of clients annually who haw been charged with felony and misdemeanor offenses in KY courtrooms. Johnathan is an adjunct faculty at the newly formed Millard College, a school with a focus for helping those in addiction move from “Crisis to Career”, and is a charter board member and the attorney of record for SPARK, one of Ky’s leading Casey Law advocacy missions.
