Bourdon & Tortolero, PLLC
Jon is an experienced litigator licensed in Virginia and Washington, DC. Jon’s success as an attorney comes from his experience and his dedication to efficiently and cost-effectively achieve the best possible outcome for his clients. Jon works closely with his clients to help them make the best-informed decisions on matters that will affect them for the rest of their lives.
Although he has a versatile practice, Jon’s experience as a family lawyer and criminal defense attorney sets him apart from many other lawyers. He has gained a unique understanding of the intersection between criminal law and family law making him well suited to represent clients in particularly difficult cases involving allegations of violence or abuse.
Originally from Rhode Island, Jon earned his bachelor of arts in political science from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. After college, Jon served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps and later worked as a defense contractor at the United States Army installation at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Jon attended the Catholic University of America School of Law where he was an active member of the Society of Trial Advocates and Moot Court.
After law school, Jon joined the City of Alexandria Public Defender’s Office where he handled thousands of cases. He represented clients charged with all manner of criminal misdemeanors and felonies, with a special focus on domestic violence cases. Prior to forming Bourdon & Tortolero, Jon worked at a law firm in downtown Washington, DC. Jon served as the firm’s managing attorney and represented clients in family law, immigration and criminal and traffic matters. While in D.C., the majority of Jon’s practice focused on divorce and custody cases.
