Jonathan Blecher has defended over 5,000 DUI and Criminal cases since 1982.
Jonathan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in 1978 from the University of Florida, and his Juris Doctor in 1981 from the University of Florida College of Law.
A former Assistant State Attorney in Miami, Jonathan is a member of the Florida Bar, and is admitted to practice law before all Florida courts as well as the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, and the Eastern District of Michigan. He is a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of Miami, the National College for DUI Defense, NORML, and has served as a Judge for the University of Miami Law School Moot Court and Mock Trial Competitions.

- A: Law enforcement officers have the right to enforce traffic laws anywhere the public has a right to travel- even private property in most cases. Shopping mall parking lots are privately owned, but the public can navigate them. The next issue becomes if you were in or out of the vehicle or the officer had probable cause to believe you were or had been.

- A: If there's a criminal case pending there's likely a "no contact" order in place, which should protect you during the pendency of the case. However, on the civil side, there may be a custody/visitation decree from a court that you should be mindful of and not violate. All this is moot if the court's have not been involved.
