Jonathan is also a member of the Knoxville and Tennessee Bar Associations. Jonathan Edwards was born and raised in East Tennessee. After graduating high school, Jonathan attended Tennessee Technological University. Jonathan graduated magna cum laude from Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. While in college, Jonathan was a member of the Moot Court team, Mortar Board, Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society and was the President of the Pre-Law Society. During law school at Michigan State University, Jonathan served as a Teaching Assistant in Equity for Professor of Law Emeritus, Clark Johnson. Additionally, Jonathan worked as a Student Public Defender with the Washtenaw County Public Defender’s office in Ann Arbor, Michigan. All while maintaining academic standing on the Dean’s List. Upon graduating from law school and admission to the bar, Jonathan returned to Knoxville, Tennessee to begin work at a firm primarily focusing on criminal defense and divorce. In 2015, Jonathan joined Ritter & Edwards “An Association of Attorneys at Law.” Jonathan focuses his practice on criminal defense, DUI/DWI, and personal injury.
