In those years, he has served as the Chief Officer of several labor unions and has substantial experience in resolving legal disputes that arise at the workplace. Mr. El-Hag can offer a valuable and unique perspective on resolving workplace issues due to his extensive background in labor relations. He regularly counsels clients on a host of employment issues, including unpaid wages, overtime and minimum wage claims, employment contracts, severance agreements, reductions-in-force, terminations, employee discipline, restrictive covenants, discrimination and union organizing. Experience Mr. El-Hag has broad experience in labor and employment law, with extensive experience in the following areas: traditional labor law (including negotiating collective bargaining agreements, administration of collective bargaining agreements, grievance and arbitration and practice before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), and employment law (including wage theft lawsuits, employment discrimination lawsuits, and claims arising under the FLSA). Additionally, Mr. El-Hag is a public arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Industry Mr. El-Hag has expertise and over a decade of experience in the food, chemical and constructing manufacturing industries, as well as various services industries. He has served as lead negotiator in numerous negotiations in those industries, and has also been co-counsel in numerous NLRB and arbitration proceedings. Affiliations Mr. El-Hag is a member of the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section. He is a member of the New York State Bar and the New York State Bar Labor & Employment Law Section. He is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar.
