Joseph Hardy
Joe Hardy is a partner in the Las Vegas office and a member of the Commercial Litigation Group. Mr. Hardy represents clients in disputes involving acquisitions and dispositions of businesses and their assets. He also represents clients in litigation concerning corporate governance, structured finance, asset securitizations, project development and financing, and business formations. He has successfully represented commercial landlords in disputes, including evictions, with tenants.
Mr. Hardy has successfully tried several cases and has acted as local counsel in various matters. He has argued before the Ninth Circuit and the Nevada Supreme Court. His practice includes pursuing and defending claims of breach of contract, tortious interference, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of non-compete covenants, misrepresentation, eminent domain, design and construction defects, RICO, and deceptive trade practices. Mr. Hardy has also handled a number of lawsuits involving unfair debt collection practices.
Mr. Hardy serves as a member on the State of Nevada Taxicab Authority. The Taxicab Authority regulates the taxicab industry in Clark County (Las Vegas metropolitan area), Nevada.
He is a contributor to the pending Revised Nevada Jury Instructions and is conversant in Portuguese.
