Katherine Bingaman
Complex Litigation Associate - Education, Construction, and Commercial Disputes
I was born and raised in the greater Lafayette area. I pursued my undergraduate studies in Political Science and Law & Society at Purdue University, where I graduated with Highest Distinction. During my time at Purdue, I was honored with Phi Beta Kappa recognition and was nominated as an Outstanding Senior in Political Science.
I furthered my legal education at Indiana University Maurer School of Law. There, I was an Indiana Conference for Legal Education Opportunity (ICLEO) Fellow and served as a Judge Coordinator for the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition. Additionally, I had the opportunity to clerk for the Honorable Mary Ellen Diekhoff in Monroe County. My scholarly contributions were recognized in the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies, where I took on the role of an Articles Editor.
My professional focus includes handling cases related to education disputes, transportation litigation, construction lawsuits, and other general litigation matters. My legal career commenced as a summer associate at an Am100 Law Firm, where I gained significant experience in managing complex lawsuits for sophisticated clients. I am committed to treating every case with the utmost care and professionalism.
After my studies, I chose to return to the greater Lafayette area to give back to my hometown community. Before embarking on my legal career, I worked in the criminal justice system and designed kitchens. Outside of my professional life, I am deeply passionate about animal adoption, Indiana history, and the Chicago White Sox.
