Khalid graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He earned his Juris Doctorate and a certificate in Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution* from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. As a law student, Mr. Hasan completed an externship for the Honorable Judge Michael R. Panter (Ret.) in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division. Khalid is licensed to practice law in Illinois and the Northern District of Illinois.

Prior to starting Kasan Law, Khalid gained diverse legal and litigation experience in both Illinois state and federal court, and successfully recovered millions of dollars for his clients. In 2019, Khalid successfully secured a $2.5 million jury verdict for his client that was sexually abused by her kindergarten teacher.

Khalid has lectured and written multiple publications about the use of social media evidence in the courtroom and its impact on litigation. Outside the courtroom, Khalid volunteers as a trial coach for the Niles West High School Mock Trial Team, and is an active member on the Junior Executive Board for the Chicago Lighthouse, an organization serving the blind and visually impaired.
