Kurt P Leyendecker

Kurt Leyendecker specializes in intellectual property law, including the procurement of United States patents and trademarks for individual inventors and small entrepreneurial companies.
He graduated with an engineering degree from the University of Illinois and a law degree from the University of Denver. Kurt has practiced law at two national law firms with prestigious patent law groups. Prior to founding Leyendecker & Lemire, LLC, he also had a successful solo practice.
Before Kurt decided to become a patent lawyer, he was an engineer with two Fortune 100 companies. He was involved in the fabrication of several NASA spacecraft and pursued several research and development projects related to the use of non-metallic materials in space launch vehicles and aircraft. In the early ’90s, Kurt founded the Denver Bicycle Design Center, a company that produced high-end mountain bike components of his invention and design.
Kurt has also authored and co-authored several articles and has been published in academic journals. He writes an article exercising his patent and intellectual property expertise for ColoradoBiz Magazine. His online articles can be found here.
