Leslie Rawls
North Carolina State BarOne of a few North Carolina Bar-certified appellate law specialists in Charlotte, Leslie Rawls has handled exclusively appeals since 1995. Rawls handles both criminal and civil appeals. She has argued hundreds of cases in the federal Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Court of Appeals, and the North Carolina Supreme Court. She has petitioned the United States Supreme Court for discretionary review. Rawls has taught appellate writing principles under the Rules of Appellate Procedure in seminars for lawyers and for paralegals. She also assists other attorneys by helping ensure compliance with the appellate rules, and by ghost-writing or editing briefs and other appellate filings.
