Lisa Haines is a client-focused defense attorney and has been license more than 22 years. Lisa has resolved thousands of felony and misdemeanor cases in every court in Tarrant County, both as a prosecutor in the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office and as a defense attorney. Because of her many trials and vast experience in criminal law, Ms. Haines is approved by the Tarrant County Criminal Court Judges to represent defendants facing habitual,1st, 2nd, 3rd and state jail felonies and all misdemeanor level charges. She is well known and respected in the criminal courts as a passionate and tenacious defender of her clients' rights. Lisa meets with every client to review the police report and videos, etc., making sure each client understands the options and potential consequences (+/-) available in the resolution of the charged crime. She is available throughout the case to answer questions and guide every client through the legal maze.
Ms. Haines is especially interested in the mental health issues, recognizing the intertwining of unresolved mental health issues with a criminal arrest, particularly drug charges or crimes of violence. She has assisted clients, when warranted, in getting evaluated and prescribed medication while their cases are pending. Lisa is also appointed by the Tarrant County Probate Judges to represent clients who have been involuntarily detained on a mental health warrant at a psychiatric hospital. She considers it a privilege to be able to assists these clients at such a vulnerable and frightening point in their lives.
