Mark Caruso and Caruso Law Offices only handle personal injury and wrongful death claims. This lets us focus our entire practice just on personal injury and wrongful death, and explains why we are so good at what we do. The majority of our new clients are referred to our firm by former clients, other attorneys who don't handle personal injury claims and insurance agents.
A former insurance company attorney, Mark Caruso now works for victims with personal injuries and families suffering the wrongful death of their loved one to get the maximum amount possible from the insurance company. Mark Caruso knows the "ins and outs" of the insurance business, and he will use his experience to get you the best outcome.

- Q. I was told by my auto insurance agent that uninsured motorist coverage in NM is portable, is that true?
- A: My name is Mark Caruso and I am with Caruso Law Offices.
Yes, uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage is portable. For instance, if you own a Ford and a Chevy it would work like this. You could buy uninsured motorist coverage on the Ford and not on the Chevy. If you are in an accident with an uninsured driver, you would also receive uninsured motorist coverage on the Chevy. I hope this answers your questions. Mark Caruso
- Q. My son was in a rollover accident he was the passenger and both people in vehicle where ejected and died
- A: My name is Mark Caruso with Caruso Law Offices, and I would like to answer your questions.
Yes you can bring a claim on behalf of your son. Because your son was a passenger and not at fault for the crash, you can sue on behalf of his estate. First, you would need to get appointed as the personal representative of the estate of your son. Then, you can begin negotiations with the insurance company for the vehicle AND also the insurance company for the actual driver if he was not the owner of the vehicle. A personal injury and wrongful death law firm in New Mexico can help you with both the filing of the apponitment for personal representative and claims against the insurance company. There ... - Q. Hit by drunk driver, both vehicles totaled. Other driver charged with DUI and off to jail. Injuries, maybe long term.
- A: I am so sorry to hear of your recent crash which was caused by a drunk driver. DWI's continue to be a real problem in our state. You can bring a personal injury claim against the driver and insurance company for all injuries suffered by you and your family. Each of you have an individual claim. Your claim would be for past and future medical bills, past and future pain and suffering, past and future lost wages or loss of income, partial permanent injury and disability and punitive damages.
You have three years from the date of the crash in which to settle your case or file a lawsuit. Your goal should be to settle only you have fully resolved your injuries, even if it takes time and ... Read More
