Marshall Schaap
Weekley Schulte Valdes, LLCMarshall Schaap was born and raised in Ocala, FL, as were several generations of his family before him. He is proud to have graduated from Belleview High School, where he was the starting tight end for two playoff football teams. He went to the University of Florida on a football scholarship. After two years at UF, he transferred to the University of Wyoming, where he graduated with a business degree. He then returned to Florida for law school, attending Stetson University College of Law, where he met his wife. They now have two remarkable daughters. Marshall has practiced law with Weekley Schulte Valdes in Tampa for most of the last decade, and was trusted with opening the firm’s Ocala office in 2014. He currently handles cases out of both offices, with a range covering most of Florida, from Jacksonville to Ft. Myers. Marshall is an experienced litigator. He handles injury claims, whether defending those who have been sued or representing the injured. Having grown up on job sites as a laborer for his father’s construction business, Marshall has always had an interest and familiarity with construction. Naturally, he also helps contractors, subcontractors, and others involved in the construction business with legal issues they encounter. Marshall enjoys getting to know his clients, and learning about their businesses and how they are run. He takes pride not only in getting his clients the best possible outcome, but in giving them straight forward advice about what they should or should not expect for their situation. He is motivated and honest. Examples of areas Marshall works on with his clients include: Liability, Injury, Construction Defects, Property Damage, Contract formation and disputes, Liens, Injunctions, and more. Marshall enjoys not just living in a community, but being a contributing part of it. He serves on the Board of Directors for Kids Central, Inc. and the Ocala/Marion County Chamber and Economic Partnership (CEP) Young Professionals Ocala (YPO
