Matthew Ball
Utah State Bar
As a long-time partner in the firm’s commercial litigation group, Matt helps clients in a range of industries navigate and resolve often complex disputes. He specializes in prosecuting and defending breaches of contract in state and federal courts, and has tried and argued cases at every level of the trial and appellate system. Many of Matt’s clients work in the construction industry and turn to him for help pursuing and securing payment, clearing title to real property, and solving boundary problems. Matt also represents commercial landlords when leases run into trouble. He has experience in a variety of other business and commercial fields involving control of companies, construction defects, trust disputes, securities law and various business torts.
Known for his efficiency and command of the rules governing litigants, Matt is routinely selected by his peers as one of Utah’s Legal Elite and acknowledged as such in Utah Business magazine.
Matt was born and raised in England but made his home in Utah in the mid-1990s. He remains an ardent fan of Liverpool Football Club.
