Facing divorce or family law matters can be a very emotional process. For this reason, it is important to have dedicated representation that understands what you are going though. Micah McClendon represents clients throughout Cook County, Illinois and the surrounding areas from the firm’s Chicago Metro area family law office in Rolling Meadows.

Micah earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, focusing on Law, Justice, and Social Change. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from the Chicago-Kent College of Law. While in law school, she served as President of the Black Law Students Association. Micah was also an American Civil Liberties Union representative and volunteered at Chicago-Kent’s Self-Help Web Center where she assisted pro se litigants with legal paperwork and connected them with resources. She is currently licensed to represent clients in the State of Illinois.

Previously, Micah worked for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, Illinois, as an Assistant State’s Attorney for their Criminal Prosecutions Bureau. Her day-to-day consisted of reviewing hundreds of defendants’ files, running daily court calls, communicating with complaining witnesses to gather facts for successful prosecutions, and conducting relevant legal research in preparation for trials.

When Micah is not busy helping her clients, she enjoys writing & performing spoken word poetry and also spending time with favorite companion, her cat Hermès. She is originally from Detroit, MI and is an avid Detroit Lions fan.
