Michael Gold is a graduate of the University of Florida Schools of Accounting (1980) and Law (1985). Over the last 40 years has held professional licenses as a CPA (Florida 1983-2006) and Attorney (Florida 1986- Present). Services provided mostly directly to individual clients as a solo practitioner (1986-1992 1999-Present) including Family, Consumer Bankruptcy, tax preparation, traffic, criminal, landlord tenant, real estate, corporate, probate, administrative, civil litigation, guardianship and Immigration.
Mr. Gold has Government service with FEMA US SB, Florida DCA, Comptroller and DOR. Mr. Gold is from Miami and fluent in Spanish. With years of general experience the decision to exclude all areas except immigration has made it much easier to deliver services. His immigration practice started in Tallahassee in 1999 and in 2000 he became a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). This organization, which is passionately dedicated to helping lawyers help immigrants, helped focus Mr. Gold to become a better immigration practitioner where his practice grow from a cold start in a new community to a busy office helping many to obtain immigration benefits including naturalization, legal permanent resident (green cards), legal status through temporary protected status (TPS), deferred action for childhood arrivals (DACA) special immigrant juvenile (SIJ), U visa, national interest waivers, inadmissibility waivers, provisional waivers, permission to reapply for admission, and visitor visas.
Mr. Gold devotes a material part of his time to paid consultations (sliding scale) with people who need to know their options even if they are not yet ready to pursue them or their options are not yet ripe for pursuing. Some consultations result in referrals to other lawyers who are better prepared to help take on particular cases. Immigration Law is often predatory. The uninformed can be victims of bad notarios and bad attorneys.
