Prior to joining the McArthur Law Firm, Michael began his career as an associate with a mid-sized litigation firm focusing his practice on liability defense work. In this job, he representing individuals, insurance carriers, and government entities in personal injury litigation.
A native of Toccoa, Georgia, the Georgia lawyer attended undergrad at the University of Georgia where he graduated with honors. Following undergrad, Michael also attended law school at the University of Georgia where he graduated cum laude.
During law school, Michael served as a summer clerk to the Honorable John J. Ellington of the Georgia Court of Appeals prior to Judge Ellington’s ascension to the Georgia Supreme Court. While in law school, Michael was a member of UGA’s Mock Trial program and regularly participated as an advocate on behalf of the school.
As I learned in my first job out of law school, some insurance companies fail to pay the fair amount for an insurance claim, especially for those not represented by attorneys. Sometimes these types of cases arise from a life insurance policy not being paid after a death has occurred. The most common situation was when an unrepresented person, who had been in a collision, was handling her or his own claim.
In such non-payment cases, our law firm offers a free legal consultation to look over that case. Few wrongful death law firms have more litigation experience than our team of Georgia litigation attorneys, if we file suit. Call me for more assistance.

- Q. Can I sue a car dealership for selling me a vehicle they did not fix?
- A: Your claim is not a product liability case, which applies when a manufacturer sends out a vehicle with a flawed or dangerous problem, like air bags that blow metal shards into the driver's face. Your issue is a contact issue. You can either hire an attorney or see if the small claims court for that dealer's location can handles that civil contract dispute.
