Michele Bernadette Brown
Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch, LLPMichele B. Brown is an attorney licensed in the State of California and the United States District Court for the Southern District. She is a Certified Specialist in Family Law and the head of the Procopio Family Law Group. Ms. Brown has been practicing family law for approximately 25 years. She handles complex family law matters, including dissolution of marriage actions with business valuations, income analysis and financial litigation, custody, move-away and psychological evaluations, as well as pre-marital agreements, post-marital agreements, post judgment matters and enforcement actions. Ms. Brown cares deeply about the law and her clients. It is for this reason Ms. Brown is actively involved in family law advocacy across the state. Michele Brown has consistently been selected as a Southern California and San Diego Super Lawyer; she is AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has received a myriad of accolades for her achievement, including the Outstanding Service to Family Law Award from the CLA. Ms. Brown obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1994 and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a Minor in Spanish, from the University of California, Riverside in 1989. As a Rotary International Scholar, she studied Politics and French at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. Ms. Brown is the Family Law Representative and a Board Member of the California Lawyers Association (CLA) and was a part of the founding committee to establish the CLA. She is the Co-Chair for Governmental Affairs for the CLA and is an Advisor for the Family Law Executive Committee of the CLA and formerly of State Bar of California (FLEXCOM). Ms. Brown is the Vice-President for the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists and the Immediate Past President for the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts-CA Chapter (AFCC), where she works with family law judges, attorneys and mental health professionals to assist children.
