Biography

Mike Darlington - Uniquely Qualified To Protect Your Interests

I have litigated and negotiated thousands of divorces. For 15 years I was called upon as a judge pro tem (temporary judge) in the family law courts of San Bernardino County. For over 10 years I held the contract to advocate for minor children in custody cases in the Rancho Cucamonga courts. These experiences give me a unique perspective, enabling me to more fully understand the legal issues at play and how the judge will view your case.

I am familiar with every stage of the legal process, from filing the initial paperwork to appealing family court rulings. I will help you develop a sound strategy and choose your battles to protect what is most important.

Legal Answers
Q. Can a bio parent give their 50% custody to a step parent?
A: No
Q. Im a mother and I want to file to terminate guardianship but have misdemeanor warrants in that county will that come up
A: You can file, but there is almost no chance you would be successful. Get up this Monday and start working on your warrants. You may take some lumps to clear those up but if you really want your kids back you will do anything you have do to make that possible. The longer you wait the harder it is going to be in both circumstances.
Q. Is it legal for CPS to remove my children from my custody because I tested dirty for marijuana. Im in Fresno CA
A: Yes, you should definitely get an attorney. There is something missing from your story and you need to sit down with a professional who can sort through all of the facts.
