Monica Newcomer Miller
Monica Newcomer Miller is an associate at Noble & Vrapi, P.A. Monica received her J.D. from the University of New Mexico School of Law where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. During law school she served as the President and Vice President for the Public Interest Law Section, raising funds and providing resources for students interested in serving in the public interest legal sector. She also received Clinical Honors and the Dean’s Award for significant contribution to the law school community. She spent a summer of her law school career in Guatemala volunteering with community based organizations focused on indigenous rights. Monica’s commitment to working for immigrant families and immigrant rights started in 2002 when she spent two years on the U.S./Mexico border in South Texas as an AmeriCorps volunteer providing “know your rights presentations” to detained immigrants and legal support to pro bono attorneys. She then worked as an Accredited Representative in Indiana representing immigrant clients in front of USCIS in their requests for visa petitions, naturalization, adjustment of status and other immigration benefits. She continues her dedication to immigrant families through her work at the firm. Monica is fluent in English and Spanish. She has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 2013. In her free time Monica enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her husband, Jeff, and their children.
