Mr Douglas Brooks Rohan

Doug has been practicing law in Georgia for nearly two decades. He graduated from Florida State University’s Law School in 2000, the same university he received his English Literature degree from in 1996. As the son of a Cuban-born mother, Doug speaks fluent Spanish, as does the entire law firm’s staff. As a past member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials (GALEO), Doug works to promote the civic engagement of the Latin American and Hispanic communities. As a frequent commentator on Telemundo Atlanta, he speaks about the impact legal matters have on the Latino community. Doug’s appearance on Spanish television has helped countless families understand legal issues and laws that affect them. Through Mundo Hispanico, AJC’s Hispanic division, he has worked with reporter Mario Guevarra in both the print media and Mundo Hispanico’s social media web channel to discuss the particular and most pressing needs of the newspaper’s Latin American community. Viewed as a voice for the Latino community in Georgia, Doug has been called upon to speak live on Café CNN, where his legal analysis and Latino advocacy message were heard world-wide throughout the Spanish language morning news markets. As an active member of the Cobb County and Gwinnett County Bar Associations, Doug additionally holds membership in the Georgia Injured Workers Association (GIWA), the Georgia Trial Lawyer’s Association (GTLA), the National Trial Lawyer’s Association (NTLA), the Georgia Hispanic Bar Association (GHBA), and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Doug is a lifelong learner and looks for ways to combine his passions. He recently earned his private pilot license, a skill he uses to extend his services to the citizens beyond the Atlanta metro area. When Doug isn’t flying around with his cape on saving the world, he enjoys going on dates with Julia, his wife of over 15 years, and playing with his three girls, who totally own him.
