Prior to owning her own firm, Ms. Kurtom worked as a prosecutor in Prince George's County and also worked at a private firm in Montgomery County handling complex civil litigation matters. Among her many achievements, Ms. Kurtom was selected as a Super Lawyer by SuperLawyers from 2016-2025. She has also been named as one Maryland's Top 100 Women and Very Important Professional by The Daily Record.
