Nick Puckett’s practice focuses on the areas of estate planning, business formation, business planning, and elder law estate planning. Nick works with clients to create wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, charitable trusts, and elder law specific estate planning documents. Nick has also worked extensively with agriculture and small businesses to develop business entity structures, buy-sell agreements, and other business-related transactions.
Nick is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma. His connection to Kansas goes back to his maternal great-grandmother who immigrated to Sedan Kansas from Sweden when she was a child. Nick attended Florida State University where graduated with a B.S. degree in Communications and a Business Minor. Prior to attending law school at the University of Kansas School of Law, Nick served as an officer in the United States Army for four years. In 2017, he concluded his service after five additional years with the Kansas Army National Guard. His final assignment was as the Commander of the 772 Combat Engineer Company out of Pittsburg, Kansas.
Nick and his wife Emily have been married for seventeen years after meeting in high school. They maintain an active and busy lifestyle with their two sons Nolan and Dylan who are fully immersed in the worlds of competitive basketball and baseball. Nick has yet to meet a hobby that he has not tried at least once (skydiving, spearfishing, surfing), but currently enjoys hunting, kayaking, sports, and playing guitar.
