Nicole Mosby is a divorce and family lawyer in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She is an Associate Attorney for Stange Law Firm, PC and can assist clients throughout Jackson County and the surrounding areas.
Nicole graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with a Bachelor of Arts in English. During her time there, she worked as an intern for the American Civil Liberties Union. She analyzed correspondence from incarcerated people, evaluated their grievances, and reported that information to counsel. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law. While there, she participated in many groups and activities. These groups included the Family Law Society, the Black Law Student Association, and the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Nicole is currently licensed to practice in the State of Missouri.
Prior to joining Stange Law Firm in Lee’s Summit, MO, Nicole acquired valuable experience in family law working for the Jackson County Family Court as an intern and a Rule 13 Attorney. As an intern, she assisted in contested termination hearings, including drafting examination questions, drafting petitions and trial notes, and conducting legal research. As a Rule 13 Attorney, she conducted permanency reviews and service returns for uncontested termination of parental rights cases. She also conducted arraignments for the delinquency units and attended “Sort” meetings to determine which cases the Attorney for the Juvenile Officer would handle. Her experience also includes work as a Staff Attorney for Legal Aid of Western Missouri. While there she provided representation to low-income clients charged with jailable offenses in the city’s Municipal Court or clients who were participating in the Mental Health Diversion Program.
Outside of assisting her clients, Nicole enjoys spending time working out, traveling, and hanging out with friends and family.
