Patrick Copley

Patrick Copley has extensive experience in civil litigation, including domestic litigation, business litigation, property disputes and personal injury. Patrick’s principal focus is helping clients with family law matters. Patrick is dedicated to providing his clients with exceptional support in cases involving child support, child custody, maintenance (or alimony), grandparent rights, guardianships, and paternity. Mr. Copley regularly gives presentations and writes articles related to emerging legal theories and trial techniques. These include; The (Non) Evolution of Logo Liability. Many of these articles and speaking engagements are to help educate other less experienced lawyers with developing issues and best practices. Patrick Copley has earned substantial recognition from the legal community, including being listed as a Kansas & Missouri Rising Star by Super Lawyers magazine in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. This award is issued to less than 2.5% of all lawyers. Mr. Copley was also named “Best of the Bar,” by the Kansas City Business Journal. When not involved in his legal practice, Mr. Copley spends most of his time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys traveling and coaching his children’s sports teams, including softball and soccer.
