- Q. i a guy shoved me off of my bike causing minor injury and damage to my bycicle, and caused me to miss work for a week
- A: What exactly do you mean by "more than a reason"? Do you have claim grounded in law? The short answer is yes you may. However, whether or not you have a claim that an attorney will be interested in pursuing on your behalf will likely depend on the damages claimed. Where damages are quite limited due to "minor injury" many attorneys will be unlikely to undertake the representation. It is very much fact specific.
- Q. Can I collect from LANDLORD insurance
- A: I need some more information. Of course there are situations where you may have a legally cognizable claim against your landlord and assuming the landlord is insured then they would be the ones liable to compensate you.
- Q. Neighbor shut door on my finger on purpose, I need reconstructive surgery, can I get pain and suffering?? Or something?
- A: You can most certainly seek compensation for pain and suffering in addition to other damages. The real question that needs to be explored is whether or not there will be a path to recovery. Specifically, are the individuals we are seeking recovery from insured? Do they have assets from which a judgment can be satisfied?
