Biography

Peter currently works as an attorney with Fourscore Business Law in Raleigh. Prior to this position, Peter's most recent experience was working with the Start-Ups practice group at Smith Anderson in Raleigh, which followed an in-house stint with a private equity company in Durham as a Corporate Counsel and M&A Attorney at Eli Global.

Singh received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 2015 with Intellectual Property and Corporate Law concentrations and a B.B.A. from Hofstra University in 2012, cum laude, as a Legal Studies in Business major. After law school, Peter worked with Winslett Studnicky McCormick & Bomser LLP, a boutique corporate and entertainment law firm in New York. In his time with WSMB, Peter assisted with a wide range of matters including copyright and trademark cases, complex commercial litigation, dispute resolution, contract drafting and negotiation.

Outside the office, he serves as a certified arbitrator and mediator on several rosters. Negotiation skills are critical and transferable, so he has developed these skills with training and experience in alternative dispute resolution. Peter is also a professional musician, model and founder of Alarm Mattress Topper Inc., which is home to his Timely Topper™ mattress pad invention.

Versatility and focus may seem like tensile strengths at odds, but the mark of Peter's brand is the ability to fully engage each endeavor with initiative and intensity before switching gears. As a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, arbitrator, mediator, inventor and corporate lawyer, he delivers on his clients' needs with his own stamp of precision on every project.

SEO Interns observe and experience first-hand the day-to-day duties and responsibilities of attorneys at some of the nation’s most prestigious firms. Interns also participate in SEO's Corporate Law Institute (CLI), an exclusive two-week law school preparatory program. Law professors and professionals provide interns with overviews of first year courses, exam preparation and practice, and lessons for life in the legal industry. At Proskauer, SEO Interns are essentially integrated into the Summer Associate class in a position artfully described as a hybrid between a Summer and a Paralegal. I gained a breadth and depth of experience from legal projects and shadowing opportunities in multiple departments like corporate and litigation, as well as more discrete practice areas including real estate and labor. Some assignments included document review, legal research, internal investigations, and workshops on mergers & acquisitions and negotiation. • Conducted due diligence review and data entry of over 2,000 leases for merger. • Investigated phone records for pro bono murder for hire case. • Analyzed emails between companies to expose a corporate conspiracy. • Spotted and flagged transcripts for testimony of interest to client in a related litigation. • Proofread real estate contracts and organized deal documents. • Developed a deal from negotiation to signing in the Mergers & Acquisitions Workshop. • Practiced techniques to reach agreements in Negotiations Workshop.
