I was born and raised in Norman, Oklahoma. I completed my B.A. in Journalism, focusing on Television News, at the University of Oklahoma in 1999 and obtained my Juris Doctor in 2002, graduating in the top quarter of my class. Since then, I have been practicing law and in 2014, I founded Dewberry Law Firm. I am also a proud member of the Oklahoma City Estate Planning Council.
My legal career began as an Assistant District Attorney in Tulsa County, where I prosecuted Deprived, Misdemeanor, and Felony cases. During my tenure, I was honored as the “Outstanding Misdemeanor Prosecutor” and conducted over 30 jury trials, which honed my litigation skills significantly. I also held the position of statewide Domestic Violence Prosecutor with the District Attorney’s Council, where I supported smaller counties throughout Oklahoma.
I am a member of the Oklahoma State Bar Association and the Cleveland and Oklahoma County Bar Associations. I am admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma. In 2017, I joined the Leadership Norman Class to further engage with and contribute to my local community.
Currently, I serve as Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Mary Abbott Children's House, where I support child abuse victims through advocacy and forensic services. I was also chosen for the 34th class of Leadership Oklahoma, which connects leaders committed to the state's advancement.
Besides my work at my private practice, I serve as an Administrative Law Judge for the State of Oklahoma’s Civil Service Division, overseeing employment-related hearings. Additionally, I am involved with Impact Oklahoma (2023–2024), a philanthropic women’s group that supports initiatives in Family, Health & Wellness, Education, Community, and Arts & Culture.
