Legal Answers
Q. What can be done to child support being paid to a mother who does nothing for her children?
A: If he's paying child support then most likely it is Order or Judgment of the court----please contact a few family law attorneys in your area, set up a consultation and take a copy of Order and Judgment and discuss the pro and cons of going back to Court to change it where the father has increased custody and/or decreased child support. Good luck.
Q. If I make a u turn on a green arrow and cannot safely make it into the left lane, is it unlawful to go into right lane?
A: More information is needed to properly respond to this question as to properly answer this question one needs to know more facts and circumstances as to what happened, etc. For example, is there any signage for your direction and/or the other vehicle's direction which instructs one to yield to the other ---there may or may not be. Also, where did the collision take place which might indicate whether or not one driver should have seen the other driver before executing his turn. I would suggest that you contact an accident/injury lawyer and sit down with them and discuss fully---most accident/injury lawyers will proivde a free initial consult, so take us up on this. Good luck.
Q. Borrowed $600 from loan company 8 years ago.Can I be sued legally in small court in Louisiana?
A: A true answer would require more specific information as to the details of the loan and what happened afterward. Short general version is that the creditor has 3 years to sue on an open account andc 10 years to sue on a contract. The period in which to sue can be interrupted and reestarted if a payment is made. Additionally, if you signed paperwork in connection with receiving the $600, then a review of the paperwork would be necessary to provide a full and complete answer/reply.
