Randy Opotowsky
Randy Opotowsky is a highly experienced real estate attorney and commercial litigator, who is held in high regard by his colleagues in New Orleans. He has more than 44 years of experience in residential and commercial real estate law, and business and corporate law, including 25 years as a litigator. His practice areas include residential and commercial closings, condominium creation and conversion, multi-family and subdivision development, and representation of condominium homeowner associations.
Randy has developed a reputation for providing high quality legal counsel to condominium owners, developers and associations in condominium conversions of existing buildings, condominium collections, ground-up condominium development, condominium litigation, title insurance, title curative work, zoning and land use, and tax sale confirmations. He has represented developers of a number of the major condominium projects in New Orleans.
He represents a wide range of regional and local banks on business and real estate loans and has handled numerous commercial loans ranging from $1-$50 million for developers and owners of new projects. He has also handled thousands of single family home sales and refinancing of loans.
Randy has developed a well-respected concentration in disputes involving real estate, and condominium issues, including the legal issues affecting condominium associations, representing them in everything from claims against developers to enforcement of association rights against unit owners.
