Regina Franco
I handle all areas of family law and in addition to my litigation practice, I regularly offer limited scope services and have handled custody and visitation, support, and post-judgment matters on a noticed limited scope representation basis, as well as undisclosed representation for parties in mediation or proceeding self-represented.
Family law matters, whether divorce or a custody are always highly emotional and I recognize that my clients not only need an aggressive attorney to protect their interest, but also need a person on whom they can rely. As a family law attorney, I understand the value of personal attention for each of my clients, including not only educating them on the law, but regularly discussing the cost of litigation; both financial and emotional, with my clients in order to empower them to make the decision that makes the most sense.
Family law issues concern matters of the heart and my compassionate and zealous approach to family law has proven to be effective as over the course of my career, the majority of my cases have been resolved through negotiated agreements.
I believe in living with purpose, humanitarian efforts and giving back to the community. I've participated in several Medical Missions in the Philippines, sat on the Host Committee for SOMArts, obtained permanent resident status for an unaccompanied minor on a pro bono basis through the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights, and I sit on the Board for Access Institute, a non-profit organization based in San Francisco that provides mental health care services to those in need.
