Richard Joseph Steinmetz
Richard J. Steinmetz, Jr. is a partner at The Law Offices of Baldwin, Briscoe & Steinmetz, P.C. He joined the firm after seven years of working with Andrews, Bongar, Gormley & Clagett, P.A. in Waldorf, Maryland. Mr. Steinmetz primarily focuses on civil and criminal litigation with an emphasis in personal injury, business and real estate property disputes. Mr. Steinmetz grew up in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He attended East Stroudsburg University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science in 1998. After graduating from East Stroudsburg University, Mr. Steinmetz moved to Washington D.C. He attended the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 2001. At Catholic University, Mr. Steinmetz also earned a certificate in Law and Public Policy. In Washington D.C., he gained experience working as a law clerk for the Republican National Committee, the National Association of HomeBuilders and the Law Offices of Patrick G. Senftle, P.C. Mr. Steinmetz’s work includes cases ranging from small claims, landlord/tenant and criminal matters to major commercial litigation as well as litigating cases in the Maryland Appellate courts. Mr. Steinmetz currently resides in La Plata, Maryland with his wife, Susan, and two daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, reading, and being outdoors.
