"Every person of true worth has had someone in their life who imparted the core values of diligence, integrity, doing things correctly from the outset, and choosing the righteous path for honorable reasons. For Sam Miller, that guiding figure was none other than his maternal grandfather.
Sam's upbringing unfolded in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, a city formerly known as the corporate hub of International Harvester. His maternal grandfather, a self-educated engineer, played a pivotal role by designing the chassis for the semi-trucks of his generation, but his most enduring legacy was the indelible mark he left on his grandson.
Initially, Sam contemplated a future in medicine. However, during a summer course at Xavier University in Cincinnati, while dissecting a cat, he had a revelation that medicine wasn't his calling. He heeded his parents' counsel and enrolled at the Indiana University Mauer School of Law. The mechanical curiosity instilled by his grandfather ultimately led Sam to a career in intellectual property law in Nashville in 2003.
Several years and upward career moves later, Sam and his wife welcomed the first of their three children. Sam transitioned to a position with the Nashville branch of a prominent national law firm boasting nearly 700 attorneys, where he continued practicing intellectual property law.
Following the birth of two more children and over a decade within the realm of large law firms, Sam decided to embark on a courageous journey, opening his own firm on November 7, 2017. Initially, his firm continued to handle intellectual property litigation for companies, but eventually, his focus shifted from IP to PI - personal injury law.
Since that pivotal moment, Sam has represented individuals who have suffered injuries with a particular focus on legal malpractice (also known as attorney malpractice). He has represented clients in cases ranging from school-related sexual assaults, truck/car accidents, and slip-and-fall incidents.
