Scott Grabel is an experienced trial attorney with a strong history of positive results in drug, murder, criminal sexual conduct, and DUI/OWI cases. He has successfully argued cases before the Michigan Court of Appeals and has appeared as a commentator on Court TV's Best Defense for analysis of a murder case. Recently he was a guest on the Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson. He has served as an adjunct professor at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School and as a mentor for the Ingham County Bar Association's Mentoring Program. He is proud to be rated as one of the 10 Best Attorneys for Client Satisfaction, five years running, by the American Institute of Legal Counsel and rated in the top 1% of attorneys by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel.
Scott was born and raised in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and graduated from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 1991 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He attend the Thomas M. Cooley Law School and graduated with honors. Following his graduation in 1994, he accepted a position with the Michigan Court of Appeals Prehearing Department. After that he practiced as a staff attorney for a national law firm where he was promoted to Regional Director of Attorneys for four states. During his work with the national firm, he found he passion for criminal defense law. In 1999 he resigned in order to start his own firm, Grabel & Associates, with a sole focus on criminal defense.
Scott has vast experience in defending those charged with criminal sexual conduct, drug possession, theft and property crimes, DUI, juvenile crimes, assault and violent crimes, federal charges as well as criminal appeals and driver's license restoration.
