The Law Offices Of Scott J. Limmer
For over two decades, my passion has been defending the rights of my clients. My goal with every single client is to help them move forward with their lives as quickly as possible with the best possible outcome.
My practice focuses on the areas of Criminal Defense and College Disciplinary Law.
• Criminal Defense
With integrity, honesty and over 20 years of experience, I work tirelessly to defend clients in state and federal prosecutions throughout Long Island and New York City. I personally handle every step in the process, from meeting with the client and explaining all possible and probable outcomes, evaluating the strength of the case, and exploring every possible defense, to negotiation with the prosecutor and conducting hearings and trials.

• College Disciplinary Law
When a student is accused of a college disciplinary violation it can be an overwhelming experience. It is possible that one mistake, one error in judgment or one false accusation could have ramifications that will live on forever.
When retained, I work to defend, and give guidance to students charged with violating their schools code of conduct. I determine the particular schools procedures, what protections my client is entitled to, then create and implement a defense strategy.

- As social media has become entwined with our personal and professional lives, attorneys must be aware of their ethical obligations. Many attorneys on a regular basis share information by blogging, posting, commenting, publishing and even podcasting. When putting this information out for the whole world to see, they must be sure they are not committing any ethical violations.
