Sean Liam Kelleher
Your trademarks filed, simple and cost-effective for you, professionally by us.
I am the founding member of Kelleher Patent Law. During and after engineering school, I had several contract engineering positions, which included product development, manufacturing process improvements, failure analysis. This experience has helped me better understand the development hurdles a client will see while developing, testing and manufacturing their product. As a strategic and tactical thinker, I am able to better understand the variations that clients’ products may undergo which has allowed me to produce better patent applications. I have successfully prosecuted a variety of patent applications and trademark registrations.
I feel that the inventions, technology and new businesses created today are the problem solvers that will help move us past the predicaments of today. Through my ability to interact, understand new ideas and see alternatives, has helped me develop into an effective and efficient patent attorney. I enjoy working with these inventors and entrepreneurs to help them understand how to best protect their new businesses and products.

- Q. Can you tell me if the Long Island Honey Company is trademarked?
- A: If you are interested in this name for your company you should contact a Firm specializing in trademarks and Intellectual Property. Whether or not "Long Island Honey Company" is registered is not the end of the inquiry.
A Registered Patent Attorney or specialized trademark attorney will also determine if there are unregistered users of the trademark or if there are trademarks being used that could be considered confusingly similar. Both of these conditions could prevent you from using or registering "Long Island Honey Company" as a trademark.
- Q. Do you have to mark the patent number on the product packaging or website?
- A: In the U.S., proper marking requires a manufacturer to mark the patented product with the word “Patent” or abbreviation “Pat.” followed by a listing of the applicable patent numbers. The marking should not be concealed, and it should be easy to read.
To virtually mark a product, a patent owner must mark the product itself or to the packaging for the product with the word “patent” or “pat.” followed by an Internet website address. At the listed Internet website address, the patent numbers are listed that apply to the product.
