Sean Patrick Taylor

Sean Patrick Taylor is the Founder of The Alabama Family Law Firm, PC.

Family law inspired his legal career, hoping to do work of consequence for individuals looking to secure a better future for themselves and their children.

After his admission to the Alabama State Bar, Sean began his legal career at The Law Offices of Charlotte Christian & Associates, one of Alabama's top family law firms.

Previously, Sean was a summer associate at Saab Defense & Security, a national defense contractor. He later had the honor of working as a researcher for Prof. Ron Rychlak, Distinguished Professor at the University of Mississippi, and advisor to the Vatican’s Mission to the United Nations. From that assignment, they co-authored “Satellite Data as Evidence,” which was published in 2023.

While attending the University of Mississippi School of Law, he spent a year working in the Child Advocacy Clinic, providing legal aid to financially challenged families. Additionally, he served on the Honor Council and was a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship & the Brunini Law Scholarship. During that time, he participated in the annual Negotiation & Contract Drafting Competition where he was named Best Lawyer & Top Negotiator, later joining the Negotiation & Alternative Dispute Resolution Board.

Sean also served as the senior, then managing editor of the Journal of Space Law, an international academic publication. During that time, he published a piece examining Stanly Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey” in the context of the 1960s space race.

Prior to his career in law, Sean managed a range of businesses in real estate, media and hospitality in New York & Memphis, TN. He also worked for such media outlets as the British Broadcasting Company and ESPN.
