Sean Modjarrad serves as the Managing Shareholder and founder of MAS Law, an award-winning personal injury law firm based in Dallas, Texas. With a robust litigation background, he has successfully handled over 600 cases in Texas courts and over 90 cases in federal courts.
Dedicated to championing justice and advocating for those without a voice, Sean is widely acknowledged for his expertise in civil rights law and his relentless pursuit of positive legal reform. He has represented numerous landmark cases that have led to the reinterpretation of existing laws, ultimately providing enhanced protection for the wrongly accused. In a notable instance, the case of Good vs. The City of Irving and Detective Curtis (2006) saw Sean representing the wrongly convicted Good, who had been unjustly serving a life sentence for burglary and rape. Sean's relentless efforts led to Good's exoneration through DNA evidence, liberating him from over 13 years of wrongful imprisonment. Subsequently, Sean initiated a civil suit, resulting in a $1 million award for Good.
Sean's impactful work extended to the public eye through his feature in the Insider Exclusive story titled 'Justice In America – Delfino Garcia’s Story.' Here, Sean represented Garcia’s wife and children in a federal lawsuit against the county, the sheriff's office, and the jail management company, contending that Garcia's civil rights had been violated under the Eighth Amendment, which protects prisoners from 'cruel and unusual punishment,' including 'deliberate indifference by prison personnel to a prisoner's serious illness or injury...' (Estelle v. Gamble, 429 U.S. 97 (1976)).
