Shaheen I. Imami is the managing Member of Imami Law, PLLC, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Mr. Imami practices solely in the trusts and estates area and assists clients with: estate planning; trust, estate, and incapacity administration; and trust, estate, and fiduciary litigation. Having significant experience in each of these areas allows him to provide better, and more practical, advice to his clients. He primarily serves clients in Tennessee and Michigan, but with colleagues can assist clients throughout the United States.
Mr. Imami holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Michigan State University. He earned his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law and has been licensed to practice law since 1995 in Michigan and since 2022 in Tennessee. He is admitted before all Tennessee and Michigan state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and is certified as a Michigan civil mediator through the Institute of Continuing Legal Education.
Mr. Imami was elected a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) in 2013. He is an active member of the Fiduciary Administration Committee and the Business Planning Committee. Previously, he was a member of Fiduciary Practice and Fiduciary Litigation Committees, as well as the State Chair for Michigan. Additionally, Mr. Imami also served as the past chair of the Executive Committee and as a council member for the Probate and Estate Planning Section.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Imami has authored numerous articles and publications. He has also lectured at various continuing legal education events and conferences, including several ACTEC national meetings, and is a regular participant in the Cambridge Forums on Private Wealth Litigation and Private Wealth Law.
