Mr. Cole is Board Certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and focuses his practice on representing employees in disputes against employers. In doing so, Mr. Cole has represented hundreds of clients in numerous employment claims, including but not limited to claims for unpaid overtime wages, minimum wage violations, discrimination, retaliation, FMLA violations, breach of employment contract, non-compete agreements, wrongful termination, hostile work environment, and employee grievance hearings. Although most of the firm's employment claims are handled through administrative agencies, Mr. Cole and the firm also has experience representing clients in litigation.
Mr. Cole has written multiple legal articles to educate fellow attorneys on the expanding rights of employees. Given his experience and knowledge of employment law, Mr. Cole has been asked to speak about various employment related topics to the Texas Bar Association, Dallas Bar Association, Texas A&M Law School, Dallas Gay and Lesbian Bar Association, and the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association. Mr. Cole was also selected as a Rising Star in 2019, which is a recognition by Super Lawyers a Thompson Reuters Service.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Cole earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of North Texas and an MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas. Mr. Cole then graduated cum laude from SMU Dedman School of Law. While attending SMU, Mr. Cole won several awards for both written and oral advocacy. Mr. Cole also worked for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Due to his success, Mr. Cole was inducted into the National Order of Barristers. This honor is presented to the top ten advocates of each graduating class. After graduating from law school, Mr. Cole worked as an associate for an employment law firm before starting his own practice.
