Stephen J. Wein
Weber, Crabb, & WeinStephen J. Wein is a founding shareholder of the firm. He was previously the Chairman of the Litigation Department of a prominent local firm where he was also a member of its Executive Committee. He is a 1976 graduate of Stetson University College of Law. Steve’s extensive litigation experience is diverse, ranging from Complex Commercial to White Collar Criminal matters on behalf of and against public and private companies, financial institutions, insurance companies and professionals. The representations have dealt with a wide gamut of legal issues involving securities, antitrust, class actions, computers and software, intellectual property, healthcare fraud and reimbursement and sex and age discrimination. Additionally, he has handled corporate governance, partnership, professional liability and director and officer liability matters, as well as trust, probate and real estate litigation and commercial transactions. Steve has represented clients in arbitration and administrative disputes, as well as in trial and appellate courts throughout the United States. Mr. Wein has received a 5.0/5.0 Peer AV® PreeminentTM rating by Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory for a number of years and has been selected by Woodward and White Publication’s “Best Lawyers in America” in the area of Commercial Litigation since 2007. At various times he has been selected for inclusion to Super Lawyers in Business Litigation. He is also a certified mediator. Steve is involved with developing legal strategies, as well as working “hands on” on his client’s cases. His ability to analyze a problem, determine the legal options and develop a cohesive litigation strategy for the client and his or her business has resulted in successful resolutions of difficult cases. He has enjoyed success in cases involving patent infringement, trademark, trade dress, trade secret and copyright violations and other intellectual property matters.
