Technology for Good. How To Impact Non-Profits with WordPress, MS-Access and Twilio., Signal Conference 2016, San Francisco, California
Twilio, Inc
Non-profits lack money and developers. Client engagement with SMS and IVR can be highly effective, but often cost-prohibitive. How do we bridge the gap? Let’s review live apps using “low-tech” methods like MS-Access, VBA and WordPress to improve efficiency, resource utilization and outcomes for budget-crunched legal clinics, protect at-risk families and help victims of domestic violence. Along the way you’ll learn to build a WordPress Twilio plugin and have fun. Trust me, I’m a lawyer.

Legal Answers
Q. Can my nieces soon to be step dad adopt her without her biological father’s permission?
A: He contact attorneys to discuss filing an action to establish paternity.
Q. How do you find how much is in your estate
A: Hello,

I'm not quite sure I understand the question. Are you wanting to know what in your own estate or the estate of a loved one who has passed away? If the loved one owned property that needs to be probated, the personal representative will have to file an inventory in the probate court letting the heirs know what is in the estate (assuming the heirs don't waive their right to an inventory). Hope his helps!
Q. My landlord has not returned my security deposit nor contacted me & its been over 60 days. What can I do?
A: If you gave him a good forwarding address and he didn't send you a refund of your deposit or an itemization of how the deposit was used (i.e. repairs, unpaid rent, etc.), then you can sue your landlord in small claims court. If you win you may be entitled to additional damages if your landlord willfully refused to refund the deposit.

Good luck.
