He graduated from the University of Maryland in 1983 and from the Villanova University School of Law 1987. He is the lead attorney at his firm, focusing his practice on complex civil litigation, which includes representing severely injured plaintiffs in a vast array of personal injury cases. He also represents individuals and small businesses in disputes involving insurance claims. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, whose membership is restricted to attorneys who have secured million-dollar settlements or verdicts. He is a nationally known lawyer, speaker and educator in the area of personal injury law and law practice management. He has lectured at continuing legal education seminars for other attorneys on issues relating to personal injury and insurance law. He has been honored in the Philadelphia legal community, and nationally, for his pro bono work as an attorney. He is a court appointed arbitrator in Philadelphia County Pennsylvania, Montgomery County Pennsylvania, as well as the federal courts (Eastern District Pennsylvania) and has served as a judge pro tempore in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. He has been honored by the National Trial Lawyers Association as one of its Top 100 Trial Lawyers. - On two occasions, Stuart A. Carpey has been a guest lecturer at the University of Pittsburgh in a course in Organizational Communication taught by Dr. Lloyd Corder of the Department of Education in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. Stuart shared with the students his methods of marketing, what it is like to manage and run a small business, hiring and supervising employees, as well as ideas on entrepreneurship. On each occasion, the students were able to ask Stuart questions about and gain his insight on a range of issues, such as what an employer might expect in the new hire's first job, how to do well in the interviewing process, how to make your resume stand out, and what makes a really good employee.

- Stuart A. Carpey has volunteered at his youngest daughter's high school for the fourth year in a row. The statewide Mock Jury Competition is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. Stuart dedicated his time to PWHS to be a team advisor; offering direction on how to organize a case, conduct opening and closing statements, direct examination, cross examination, and all aspects of trying a case.

- Activities: Carpey Law attended multiple township meetings in support of SAFE, a nonprofit organization committed to raising awareness about pedestrian accidents and making one of the most dangerous roads in Bucks County safer for pedestrian travel. Carpey Law, along with the founder, board members and supporters attended the last township meeting in February 2016 when the township voted unanimously to support SAFE’s mission and move forward with a $1.8M sidewalks project, funded by the PA Department of Transportation (for the first time in history!)
