Susan L. Jordan
Providing exceptional post-conviction legal services to California's prisoners.
THE ROAD HOME LAW is the vision and life’s mission of its founder Susan L. Jordan, Attorney at Law. Susan’s passion for guiding prisoners through the parole process began in the late 1990s as a prison education volunteer and prisoner rights advocate. In the early 2000s, with a family member serving a life sentence and another in the Pelican Bay State Prison SHU, Susan went to law school for the express purpose of representing prisoners.
Within a year of entering law school, Susan began her multi-decade career of providing exceptional legal services to the underserved California prison population, focusing exclusively on hearing representation before the Board of Parole Hearings (BPH), habeas petitions, and appellate law. Over the past two decades, Susan's relentless efforts have secured the fundamental rights and freedoms of California's incarcerated population. Known for her intensely thorough and singular approach to post-conviction law, Susan has undeniably made a lasting impact in this field.
Before obtaining her law degree, Susan served as the Director of Business Development & Client Services for a San Francisco-based commercial design firm, and later as an Executive Account Manager for a Silicon Valley hi-tech company. Susan received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and her law degree from the University of California, Davis School of Law (UCD SOL).
