Biography

Founded in 2003, Simpson Law, PA provides a comprehensive, compassionate, and convenient way for busy parents and professionals to obtain vitally necessary estate planning services in MD, DC and VA. The standard package of documents provided includes a Will, Power of Attorney for Health Care, Power of Attorney for Finances, and a Living Will. Depending upon the client’s needs, trusts such as marital trusts, children’s trusts, and life insurance trusts are advised and prepared. Suzanne counsels clients with regard to strategies to reduce or eliminate estate tax liability, and makes recommendations regarding asset titling, life insurance, and beneficiary designations. Suzanne also negotiates pre-marital agreements, employment contracts and prepares business succession plans for her clients.

AVVO named Suzanne as a Client’s Choice Attorney and a Top Estate Attorney for 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2017. She acts as current Past-President to the Howard County Women's Bar Association (2011-12); Secretary to the Estate Planning Council of Suburban Maryland; and was on the Board of Directors for the Olney Chamber of Commerce, where she serves as Chair of the Legislative Affairs Committee. She was the co chair of the Estate Planning section of the Howard County Bar Association and was selected for Leadership Montgomery Class of 2011. She has served as vice president and serves as By-Laws Chair on the PTA at her children’s school and has held board positions with the local International MOMs Club.

Prior to establishing Simpson Law, P.A., Suzanne was a strong litigator, practicing in domestic relations with Bean Kinney & Korman, as Senior Associate, and Smolen & Plevy, P.C., where her practice focused on estate planning, domestic relations and civil litigation.
