Sylvia Borunda Firth
Sylvia Borunda Firth is a solo practitioner lawyer in El Paso, Texas specializing in governmental law, administrative law, real estate and general business. Sylvia received her B.B.A. Magna Cum Laude from St. Mary's University in San Antonio and her J.D. for the University of Texas School of Law. Her legal career has been very diverse and she has experience working for governmental entities, as in house corporate counsel and private practice. While in private practice Sylvia has been employed by a medium size firm in addition to her current work at Sylvia Borunda Firth, PLLC.
Sylvia has been a member of the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors and served on numerous committees of the Board. She has also been of the Board of the Texas Bar Foundation, the Government Law Council, the El Paso Bar Association Board and the Texas Bar College.
She has served on the boards of multiple El Paso non-profits and is currently a REALIZE Board Training volunteer consultant and a United Way Vello Program online tutor. She is very interested in programs which support women's rights, animal rescue and that provide educational opportunities for individuals facing challenges to higher education.
When Sylvia is not working or engaged in volunteer work, she enjoys participating in sprint distance triathlons, and traveling with her husband of 33 years, Victor M. Firth.
