Theresa Ringle
Theresa is an architect and attorney. Theresa has twenty years of combined experience in the design and construction law industries. As an attorney, Theresa advises those who develop, design or construct. Theresa is also listed on the roster of construction law arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association.
Prior to her legal career, Theresa obtained her architectural license in the State of Indiana. With the purpose of serving the legal needs of the construction community, Theresa attended law school in the evening while working full-time as an architect.
Theresa is well versed in contract drafting and negotiations for contractors, designers, private owners and public entities (including townships and school corporations) utilizing The American Institute of Architects and other construction industry standard form contracts.
Theresa's construction and real estate litigation practice includes professional errors and omissions claims involving architects and engineers (including surveyor, mechanical, HVAC and structural matters); defective workmanship claims; concealed, differing site condition and extra work claims; delay and impact claims; surety bond disputes; payment claims; mold litigation; public bidding disputes building code violations; contractor default issues; takeover agreement negotiations; development impact fee and plat approval matters; mechanicâs liens; environmental contamination claims; products liability claims; breach of warranty and UCC claims and other construction, real estate and design related disputes.
Theresa's commercial litigation experience includes failed business transactions and acquisitions, mortgage fraud, director/officer claims and shareholder/ownership disputes, insurance coverage disputes (including environmental contamination and construction defect issues) along with appellate work, including matters involving judicial review of administrative decisions pending in District Court. Theresa's litigation experience includes jury trial and bench trial defense verdicts.
